  • Sub Pop Records artist Kyle Craft gets dolled up in the video for "Eye of a Hurricane," a single from his debut Dolls of Highland. Craft explains the concept via a press release: "One of my roommates had his annual drag birthday get together and it seemed like the story would sort of write itself if we just started shooting." Watch the drama unfold below: [Spin]

  • In a surprising pairing, Paul Banks of Interpol and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan have formed the duo, Banks & Steelz. Word has it, the two are good friends, and even hang out and play chess together. Today, they share their first single together "Love + War," which also features contributions from Ghostface Killah. RZA himself described their sound as "very, very different than what I do, but very unique and very peculiar." In an interview with Rolling Stone, he added, "I think if we put our sandwich together, it will be great." Take a bite below, via Apple Music. [Consequence of Sound]

  • UK singer/songwriter Beth Orton is known for her coffeehouse-friendly folky songs, but her upcoming album shakes that up. Her latest, titled Kidsticks, finds her pairing up with Andrew Hung, half of the electronic duo Fuck Buttons. It's a pretty fantastic, er, "sandwich." (Thanks, RZA.) Listen below, via NPR Music. Kidsticks hits stores on May 27th via Anti- Records. [Stereogum]

  • Last night, Band of Horses galloped (GET IT) onto The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in support of their forthcoming full-length, Why Are You OK. Watch the on-air performance of "Casual Party," followed by a web exclusive of "In a Drawer." I don't quite get the weird costumed people on stage with them; is that a throwback to an earlier joke? Why Are You OK will be out on June 10th via Interscope/American Recordings, and you can keep track of all these late-night television highlights with KEXP's TV Eye column. [Under the Radar]
