Sub Pop Records artist Kyle Craft gets dolled up in the video for "Eye of a Hurricane," a single from his debut Dolls of Highland. Craft explains the concept via a press release: "One of my roommates had his annual drag birthday get together and it seemed like the story would sort of write itself if we just started shooting." In a surprising pairing, Paul Banks of Interpol and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan have formed the duo, Banks & Steelz. Word has it, the two are good friends, and even hang out and play chess together. Today, they share their first single together "Love + War," which also features contributions from Ghostface Killah. RZA himself described their sound as "very, very different than what I do, but very unique and very peculiar." UK singer/songwriter Beth Orton is known for her coffeehouse-friendly folky songs, but her upcoming album shakes that up. Her latest, titled Kidsticks, finds her pairing up with Andrew Hung, half of the electronic duo Fuck Buttons. It's a pretty fantastic, er, "sandwich." (Thanks, RZA.) Listen below, via NPR Music.
