R.I.P. Muhammad Ali

The Greatest is gone. More than just a boxing legend, Muhammad Ali was a cultural icon and humanitarian above nearly all else. He passed away on Friday after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Ali didn’t just fight inside the boxing ring. Outside of it, he stood up for those who couldn’t or wouldn’t, facing down prejudice of race and religion, and taking on government policies such as the Vietnam War draft. He did it all with an unmatched pride, determination and charisma. Many heartfelt tributes can be found across the internet, like here and here, but below we offer a few notable songs (including a few sung by Ali himself) about or inspired by The Greatest of All Time, The People’s Champion, The Louisville Lip… Muhammad Ali.
