Aesop Rock has your cure for the Monday blues: just watch the video for "Kirby," an ode to cats and cat-parents everywhere off his latest The Impossible Kid. The video stars Dina, a spunky tortoiseshell kitten rescued from downtown LA, and a puppet-ized version of the west coast rapper (real name: Ian Matthias Bavitz). It's three-minutes of adorable, directed by Toben Seymour. "Kirby" appears on Aesop Rock's seventh full-length, The Impossible Kid, out now on Rhymesayers Entertainment. [Stereogum]

On the other end of the video spectrum is the latest from Trentemøller. The Danish musician and producer releases his fifth album, Fixion, this fall, but shares the single "River in Me" today. Both the track and the video feature special guest, Jehnny Beth of Savages. The icy clip is described in a press release as "a new cross-disciplinary collaboration between Swedish director Åsa Riton and Swedish artist Andreas Emenius." Watch below. Jenn Wasner is keeping busy this summer. Not only did her duo Wye Oak drop an album of "in-between" songs earlier this month (out in physical form August 5th via Merge Records), but Wasner's solo project Flock Of Dimes will release a debut later this year on Partisan Records. But wait, there's more: Wasner just designed a guitar, the JW-1 signature guitar from Reverend. Phew! KEXP Presents Wye Oak on Tuesday, July 12th at Neumos. [A.V. Club]

The debut album from New York's Porches (aka Aaron Maine) is an '80s-inspired synthpop dream, so it's no surprise its first video takes its cues from that decade, too. Maine and band present the track "Car" on a pastel Miami Vice-set with some Robert Palmer dance moves. Then they all eat these cherries and it becomes like a Gap commercial gone wrong. Watch below.
