  • Saturday marks the one-year anniversary of Wilco's surprise release of Star Wars (voted #15 in KEXP's Top Albums of 2015 countdown), and to celebrate, the band have done another surprise release. Check out the single "Locator" below, which you can download for free in exchange for an email address. Happy anniversary, Star Wars! (Watch the boys perform the songs live for KEXP in this exclusive donor performance here.) [Pitchfork]

  • And more new music: this time from the soulful Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. The track will appear on the soundtrack for the documentary Miss Sharon Jones!, a film directed by Barbara Kopple that chronicles Sharon's battle with cancer and triumphant return with the 2014 LP Give The People What They Want. Listen below, and check out a trailer for the movie, too. (And then watch the band tear it up at KEXP's New Home grand opening here on the KEXP Blog!) [Stereogum]

  • We've got another track to share from chess playin' buddies Banks & Steelz (aka Interpol's Paul Banks and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA). Today, the unlikely duo share the single "Speedway Sonora," another track from their upcoming debut Anything But Words, out August 26th via Warner Bros. Catch the guys on Wednesday, August 24th at The Crocodile. [Under the Radar]

  • FOX animated TV show Bob's Burgers has teamed up with The National before, with their stunning take on "Christmas Magic" (see here). This time, Matt Berninger and friends take on the track "Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom" from the show's season finale. As Berninger takes Bob's part, UK singer Låpsley takes on Louise's lines. Together, they do a fine job capturing the horror of getting stuck on a toilet when a national magazine is coming by to do an interview with you. Harrowing. [Consequence of Sound]
