  • The Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser and vampire Weekend producer Rostam Batmanglij have joined forces to create a side project brilliantly called, Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam. The duo will release their debut album, I Had A Dream That You Were Mine, on September 23. Check out new album track “In A Black Out” below. [Stereogum]

  • New York indie outfit Parquet Courts have announced plans to release a 12″ single called Performing Human, featuring several remixes of their Human Performance title track. The Eaters’ “Performing Human” remix turns the track into a funky, 80’s snyth-pop power ballad. The band is currently touring around the US and on August 26, they’ll land in Seattle at The Showbox. • Jake Bugg covered HAIM’s Days Are Gone song “If I Could Change Your Mind,” as a part Australian radio station Triple J’s “Like A Version” cover series. There’s no profound reason for Bugg choosing this track, he admitted that he was “a bit stuck for time” and had to make a quick decision. it’s obvious he works very well under pressure.
