  • Hip hop greats De La Soul have a pretty cool roster of guest musicians on their forthcoming full-length, and the Anonymous Nobody…. The list includes David Byrne, Snoop Dogg, Pete Rock, 2 Chainz, Usher, Jill Scott, Roc Marciano, Little Dragon, and, of course, Damon Albarn. To return the favor, it's been announced that De La Soul will in turn, appear on the forthcoming Gorillaz album! In an interview with The Guardian, Pos shared, "We actually sat down with Damon two weeks ago and he played us some of the new Gorillaz album, and it sounds amazing. He played us a track that he wants us to get off on his album so we got to get in the studio and put that down." He also revealed that additional guests, so far, include French composer Jean Michel-Jarre, producer Twilite Tone, singer-songwriter Liam Bailey, and Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. No release date yet for the new Gorillaz, but you can get the new De La Soul on August 26th, which just happens to be the day KEXP breaks down their landmark release 3 Feet High & Rising from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM! • Last week, we shared the Blaqstarr remix of M.I.A.'s new single "Bird Song," and today we've got Diplo's. Stream his version below, which (thankfully) uses less of that weird kazoo rhythm. Both takes will appear on the upcoming release A.I.M. out September 9th via Interscope. [Pitchfork]

  • Yesterday, we rolled out video from Wand's recent KEXP in-studio, and today, we've got a solo track from frontman Cory Hanson to share. Stream the single "Ordinary People" from his forthcoming debut, The Unborn Capitalist From Limbo, out November 18th from Drag City. It's definitely a change of pace from the sound of Wand. • Swedish trio Peter, Bjorn, & John get literal on the video for the track "Dominos," setting up an impressive human domino chain in Stockholm. Director Henry Moore Selder manages to dodge the injury lawsuits. "It was pretty scary not knowing when the impact would happen and I ended up with two very blue knee caps!" frontman Peter Morén said via a press release. "Dominos" appears on the band's most recent release, Breakin' Point, out now via their own INGRID imprint. Fall for them on Wednesday, August 31st when the band plays Neumos. [Under the Radar]
