  • Black Francis makes his video directorial debut today with the clip for "Um Chagga Lagga," off the latest Pixies LP, Head Carrier. Francis (er, "Mr. Black"?) wrote, storyboarded, produced, and directed the clip in Toulouse, France, and the video features scenes of the countryside there, alongside black and white footage of the band. Enjoy below! Head Carrier is out now via Pixiesmusic/[PIAS]. [Under the Radar]

  • Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds share a new video today, too; theirs directed by Andrew Dominik, who also created the band's documentary One More Time With Feeling. Watch as Cave works in the studio on the track "Girl In Amber," off their gorgeous, but heartbreaking new LP, Skeleton Tree. One More Time With Feeling returns to theatres on December 1st, back at the SIFF Cinema Uptown. [Pitchfork]

  • Not only does Nevermind and Temple of the Dog turn 25 this year, but so does Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger, which will be reissued November 18th. The deluxe edition will feature some fun bonus tracks, like this one below -- a studio outtake of "Rusty Cage." [Stereogum]

  • Dirty Projectors have been giving sneak peeks at new music via social media, but full details have yet to be revealed. And, now it seems like maybe band member Amber Coffman is no longer a part of the group, as she's announced a solo album, City Of No Reply, out soon via Columbia Records. CoS points out the first Dirty Projectors single was titled "Keep Your Name," and Coffman's first shared single is, "All To Myself." Hmmm. Via a press release, she explains, "For anyone who’s ever found themselves uncomfortably restless, sad and alone, or even temporarily doubting themselves and their dreams, this is a mantra, a pep talk, a love song to yourself. It’s a song you can slow dance by yourself to without feeling funny if there’s no one else there. A small reminder not to spend too much time fretting and just to get out there, live your life and do what makes you happy." Listen below. [Consequence of Sound]
