Brooklyn-based artist Mitski shares a video today for the track "A Burning Hill," a stand-out from an already outstanding LP, Puberty 2, out now on Dead Oceans. Director Bradley Gray captures singer/songwriter Mitski Miyawaki around town, wearing a button down shirt as mentioned in the lyrics. Via a press release, Miyawaki says, "The director and I spent a weekend just driving around New York and Pennsylvania while the camera kept running, and most of the time I'd forget I was being filmed. It felt like a vacation, but it was also quite emotional, as I was thinking about the song and what it means to me now while jumping in rivers and driving down dirt lanes." [Under the Radar]

Yesterday, Death Cab for Cutie shared a new song, seemingly blasting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Turns out, that's exactly what it is, shared as part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs series, in which bands reveal a new anti-Trump song everyday until Election Day. Today's track comes from Aimee Mann. Stream the single "Can’t You Tell?" below. Mann says, "I wanted to write about Trump in the first person because I think it’s more interesting to speculate on what people’s inner life might be. I had heard a theory that Trump’s interest in running for President was really kicked off at the 2011 White House Correspondent’s dinner when President Obama basically roasted him, so that’s where I started. And my own feeling was that it wasn’t really the job itself he wanted, but the thrill of running and winning, and that maybe it had all gotten out of hand and was a runaway train that he couldn’t stop." Portland's Aan return next month with their sophomore full-length, Dada Distractions, produced by former Unknown Mortal Orchestra drummer Riley Geare. It's said the album was the result of the toughest year in frontman Bud Wilson’s life: two of his friends passed away, a six-year relationship ended, and all his previous bandmates left. Check out the first single "Forever Underfoot" below. Aan play this Thursday, October 13th at The Sunset, and Dada Distractions is out 11/18 via Party Damage Records. [Stereogum]

When you're out on the road together, bands hear each other's songs over and over, every night. In the case of tourmates Phantogram and The Range, it's resulted in this bass-lovin' remix of the single "You Don’t Get Me High Anymore." Listen below.
