With the passing of Prince earlier this year, his musical vaults have been excavated and gems are being found within. Today, NPG Records and Warner Bros. Records are teaming up to share Prince 4Ever, a collection of hits, packaged with a 12-page booklet of never-before-seen photos by photographer Herb Ritts and this previously unreleased track, "Moonbeam Levels." The song was apparently recorded back in 1982 during the 1999 sessions, but left off the album. ABC News invited some Prince "super fans" over to The Cutting Room Studios in New York City to hear the song. Thanks to a video game, we've got yet another iteration of Car Seat Headrest's "Not What I Needed." For The Sims 4: City Living, frontman Will Toledo takes on the impressive task of singing in Simlish, the fictional language EA Games created for the series. For example, here are the first few lines of the chorus: "Jub fleeple gib jub gerzopGib a lob/ bleet a flapple, jit’ll flerk sitelf glout." Now listen to 4 1/2 minutes of that below (it actually kinda works). This isn't the first time the song has received a make-over: back in May, Ric Ocasek of The Cars took issue with the original version, resulting in the destruction of the first pressing of Teens Of Denial. Will and crew play a hometown show this Saturday, November 26th at the Neptune Theatre. [Pitchfork]

Cleveland's Cloud Nothings share another new track from their forthcoming full-length, Life Without Sound. Check out the single "Internal World" below, and if you missed the first release, hear that KEXP Song of the Day right here. Life Without Sound hits stores January 27th on Carpark Records. The following month, the band play not one, but two nights here in Seattle: Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th. [Stereogum]

Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, veterans The Pretenders had a special guest join them: Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and The Arcs. It's not a total shocker since Auerbach produced the band's most recent LP, Alone, and it was also recorded in his own Easy Eye Studio in Nashville. Watch them perform the single "Holy Commotion!" below. Not sure if he'll be there when The Pretenders play Key Arena on Sunday, December 11th, but we do know Stevie Nicks is on the bill!
