  • Looks like new Spoon is on the way! The Austin-via-Portland-via-Who Knows band shared a mysterious image on social media that looks like a possible album cover. Adding to the mystery, Matador Records shared it as well. Viewers of the Showtime TV series Shameless were treated to a new song last Sunday; hear the track “I Ain’t The One” in the background of this scene. And stay tuned for more clues as they unfold. • L.A. psych-folk-rockers Local Natives have announced another batch of North American tour dates in support of their latest LP, Sunlit Youth, which came out earlier this year on Loma Vista/Infectious Music. And for most of the March shows, they’ve partnered with the organization Plus 1 to “donate $1 from every ticket to support gender-based violence intervention and prevention programs.” They’re also sharing a remix of the album track “Dark Days” which features vocals from Nina Persson of The Cardigans, and was given the rework by fellow Angelinos Classixx. • Another great recent guest vocal spot comes from Nils Frahm on the DJ Shadow track “Bergschrund.” Today, they’ve shared a clip for the single, directed by Matt Devine and starring Matthew Sunderland in an X-Files-ian situation. Devine says, “To me the track has a really cinematic and also science fiction tone to it. I wanted to make a film that really worked with this visually but also had a humor to it. It is also my favorite track from the album so I was honored to be asked to make something for it.” You can find the track on Shadow’s most recent full-length The Mountain Will Fall, out now via Mass Appeal. • Synthpop duo Phantogram stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this week in support of their latest, Three. Watch Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter command the stage with “Same Old Blues”, “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”, and “You’re Mine.” Three is out now via Republic Records, and you can keep track of all these late night television highlights with KEXP’s TV Eye.
