As usual, things have slowed way down in the new release world as we close in on the end of the year. A few noteworthy releases include the debut solo EP from Spencer Tweedy, half of the duo Tweedy with his father, Jeff. Omar Rodríguez-López shares his 12th solo album, a collection of archival material. (Meanwhile, his other project At the Drive-In recently released their first single in 16 years!) Grammy Award winning artist Kid Cudi surprised fans with his sixth full-length, featuring special guests André Benjamin of OutKast, Willow Smith, and Pharrell Williams.

UK arena-rock giants Coldplay dropped a 5-song EP, Live From Spotify London, featuring intimate, stripped-down versions of your faves, and a holiday track "Christmas Lights." A collection five years in the making arrives, Africa Express Presents… The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians & Guests, with special guests Damon Albarn, Julia Holter, Bassekou Kouyaté, Paul Weller, Faia Younan, and more. And 23-year-old Irish producer Jack Colleran shares his final release under the name MMOTHS, stating "Now just feels like the right time, more so than ever. Moving forward I'll be releasing music under my own name J Colleran… see you in 2017." See you in 2017, indeed!
