  • Last year's comeback album from A Tribe Called Quest was a KEXP fave, coming in at #2 in our Top Albums of 2016 countdown (right behind David Bowie). Today, the guys share a video for the track "Dis Generation," a highlight off We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service. Director Hiro Murai (known for his work on FX network TV series Atlanta) delivers a moody, mesmerizing black-and-white clip of daily life, starring ATCQ members and collaborator Busta Rhymes. Watch below. We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service is out now via Epic Records. • Not only is it today's KEXP Song of the Day, but we've also got a new video to share for the title track to Mac DeMarco's upcoming release, This Old Dog. The clip was directed by DeMarco himself, and in a statement, he describes it as, "A devoted dog discovers the meaning of its own existence through the lives of the humans it teaches to laugh and love. Reincarnated as multiple canines over the course of five decades, the lovable pooch develops an unbreakable bond with a kindred spirit named Ethan. As the boy grows older and comes to a crossroad, the dog once again comes back into his life to remind him of his true self." This Old Dog will be out May 5th via Captured Tracks, and DeMarco plays the Moore Theatre on Sunday, September 10th. [ Stereogum ]

  • From the Afternoon Show on KEXP to Conan, last week's in-studio guest Strand of Oaks took to late night TV last night in support of his latest Hard Love. Watch Tim Showalter and band perform the tracks "Rest of It" and (the web exclusive) "Radio Kids" below. You can keep track of all these television highlights with KEXP's TV Eye. [ Under the Radar ]
