Last month, The Drums shared their first new single in a few years, the super-danceable "Blood Under My Belt." Today, we've got a video for the track, featuring frontman/sole member Jonny Pierce posing against colorful backdrops. In a press release, he shares, "I hate making music videos. But, alas, sometimes you need to feed the beast, and I decided to make a music video that explores some visual fetishes of mine -- mainly sportswear and a new exploration of colors that I've long-loved but hadn't been a part of the band's aesthetic until now. I love this new era of The Drums because I'm allowed to express exactly what I want and take it all the way." The forthcoming full-length “Abysmal Thoughts” (the quote marks are part of the title) is out June 16th via Anti-, and they kick off the tour in Seattle Monday, July 17th at Neumos. Earlier today on The Morning Show on KEXP, we premiered another new track from the upcoming Chastity Belt album, I Used To Spend So Much Time Alone, out June 2nd on Hardly Art. We've already heard the single "Different Now" (which was accompanied by the excellent Temple of the Dog homage), and today, we share the moody and melodic "Caught In A Lie." Listen below. It's been a couple of years since we last heard from East Coast shoegazers A Sunny Day in Glasgow; this summer, their frontwoman Jen Goma is going out on her own, under the name Showtime Goma. The ten-track LP Smiley Face will be self-released June 16th. Check out the lead single "Big Disaster" below. The album was recorded with Greg Saunier of Deerhoof, and in a press release, she declares, it's meant to be "an invitation, an invocation — to joy, anger, and catharsis in a time when apathy is not an option. [It's] a light record with a dark sense of humor, brimming with hope and energy. It wants to take care of you." [ Consequence of Sound ]

Hopefully, you've already got your ticket to see Fleet Foxes on Friday, May 19th at Showbox at the Market. The guys have just announced another slew of tour dates across North American, with fall/winter shows in Europe, including an appearance at the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival.
