  • Miami-based garage rockers Jacuzzi Boys have launched a new label Mag Mag, and who better to be on their first release but the Grandfather of Punk himself, Iggy Pop. Check out the single "Asshole Blues" below, officially out April 21st as the first in a series of flexi-discs. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Pop describes, "I wrote a blues song about an asshole who’s out to get me. It’s full of negative energy. Listen at your own risk. It’s fun to play the blues."   • Last month, The Jesus & Mary Chain returned with their first new album in 19 years, the heralded LP Damage & Joy. Today, they share a video for the single "Mood Rider," which features frontman Jim Reid literally in the spotlight. He and his brother William embark on a North American tour next month, including a Tuesday, May 23rd stop at Showbox SoDo. Damage & Joy is out now via ADA/Warner Music. [ Spin ]

  • Atlanta-based trio Migos have a track on the soundtrack for the forthcoming film The Fate of the Furious, the eighth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. (How did it get this far?) Check out their contribution "Seize the Block" below. The soundtrack will also feature new songs from Young Thug, 2 Chainz, G-Eazy, and Wiz Khalifa, whose single on the Furious 7 earned him a Grammy nomination. The movie and the film are both out today.   • Soul legend Mavis Staples is releasing a live album recorded in 2014 at a hometown show in Chicago. AXS TV is airing the concert this Sunday, April 16th, and on June 2nd, it's being released as a CD/DVD set by Blackbird Presents. Among that evening's special guests were Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. Watch the three of them cover the Talking Heads 1983 song "Slippery People" below. Mavis and Arcade Fire most recently collaborated on the single "I Give You Power" which you can stream here. [ Stereogum ]
