Those Radiohead fans are sharp: YES, to confirm the posters and the cryptic Twitter video, the band are indeed re-issuing their acclaimed 1997 album OK Computer in honor of its 20th anniversary. Cleverly titled OKNOTOK, it will include a remastered version of the original album, eight B-sides, and three previously unreleased tracks from the era: "I Promise," "Lift," and "Man of War." It'll be available on CD/digital/vinyl in June, or you can get the super-special deluxe box set a month later. A press release details:
The OKNOTOK boxed edition will ship July, featuring a black box emblazoned with a dark image of a burned copy of OK Computer containing three heavyweight 180 gram black 12" vinyl records and a hardcover book containing more than thirty artworks (many of which have never been seen before) and full lyrics to all the tracks (except the ones that haven't really got any lyrics). Under this weighty tome are yet more surprises: a notebook containing 104 pages from Thom Yorke's library of scrawled notes of the time, a sketchbook containing 48 pages of Donwood and Tchock's 'preparatory work' and a C90 cassette mix tape compiled by the band, taken from OK Computer session archives and demo tapes.

Cool, looks like we've got another link we can use in KEXP's upcoming Six Degrees of David Byrne Day! Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder recently performed at the Hot Stove Cool Music concert in Boston, a benefit for nonprofit agencies benefiting urban youth and families. In addition to his own songs, he also rolled out some covers, including a take on the Talking Heads track "Love → Building on Fire," which you can watch below. Other covers included Bruce Springsteen's “Bobby Jean” and the Rolling Stones “Waiting on a Friend,” to name a couple. [ Pitchfork ]

Just a few more days 'til we get the first new Slowdive album in 22 years, a self-titled album out this Friday, May 5th via Dead Oceans. We've heard the album track "Sugar For the Pill," but now we've got a remix to share from west coast DJ/producer Avalon Emerson. With "Sugar For the Pill (Avalon Emerson Gilded Escalation)," Emerson stretches the song out into a nine-minute trance with heavy beats and Rachel Goswell's ethereal vocals stuttering throughout the track. Grammy-nominated Malian husband-wife duo Amadou & Mariam share a new video today for the single "Bofou Safou," a first look at the upcoming release La Confusion, their first LP since 2012’s Folila. According to a press release, the song title refers to "young men who would rather dance than work," and that's just what director Louis Vignat delivers in this clip. Watch below. No official release date yet, but La Confusion is out later this year via Because Music. The band play two nights -- Wednesday, August 9th and Thursday, August 10th -- at the Triple Door.
