We like all kinds of music! And today, on Fourth of July, we’re celebrating “Independence Day” with just that! (As an aside, don’t forget that KEXP’s DJ Troy Nelson is leading a Violent Femmes sing-a-long this summer at Timber! Outdoor Music Fest. But, we digress.)     So,I was expecting something different and too far away from your…patriotisism, such as a song about native Americans (Anthrax) or a song about slavery (Soulfly,Neil Young as well). Because “united” states of america had been created because of the deaths millions of native americans and africans…
