Wolf Parade are releasing their first album in seven years, Cry Cry Cry, on October 6 via Sub Pop. Today they've unveiled the album's second single "You're Dreaming" which was inspired by the shock and confusion following the 2016 U.S. presidential election. It's accompanied by a cut-out visual made by artist Scorpion Dagger of a man running in place on his bed. John Goodmanson (Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Unwound) produced Cry Cry Cry at Robert Lang Studios outside of Seattle. [ Under the Radar ]

Angel Deradoorian, frequent Dirty Projectors and Avey Tare collaborator, released her debut solo album, The Expanding Flower Planet, in 2015 under the name Deradoorian and today she's announced its follow-up. Calling it a "mini LP", the album will be called Eternal Recurrence and was made with co-producer Ben Greenberg (of Uniform). She's also shared the first single from the album, "Mountainside," a spacious piano folk track with some light flute, perfect for your next meditation session. [ Brooklyn Vegan ]

The debut solo album from Parquet Courts frontman Andrew Savage will arrive in October under the name A. Savage. Entitled Thawing Dawn, he's previously shared the single "Winter in the South" and has now followed that up with "Wild, Wild, Wild Horses," an unhurried, sparse track. Thawing Dawn will be released October 13 via Dull Tolls and will feature members of Woods, Ultimate Painting, PC Worship, EZTV, Sunwatchers, and Psychic TV. [ Pitchfork ]

Zola Jesus (real name: Nika Roza Danilova) is gearing up to release her sixth album Okovi, her most dark and personal album to date. "Siphon" is the third single she's released from the album, following "Exhumed" and "Soak," and was written for a close friend who had attempted suicide for the second time. "There is no greater horror than watching someone you love physically destroy themselves… not knowing if you would see them tomorrow. In the end, I decided this song needed to be heard, not only by this person, but by others as well," said Danilova. Okovi is out September 8 via Sacred Bones. Zola Jesus will play the Crocodile on Thursday, October 19 with John Wiese. [ Stereogum ]

Angus Andrew released the latest Liars album TFCF last week. It's the first one where Andrew is the sole member of the band. Today he's shared the official video for "Cred Woes." Directed by Yoonha Park, the clip accurately depicts the song's lyrical content about the drudgery of the minimum-wage lifestyle via following around a delivery boy. Liars will be in Seattle on Saturday, October 7 to play the Crocodile. [ SPIN ]
