Midnight In A Perfect World: Washed Out

The alias of Georgia native Ernest Greene, Washed Out burst on to the music scene in 2009 with his defining and refreshing chillwave sound, and he's been a staple on KEXP's airwaves ever since. His style has evolved over the years, exploring various shades of dreamy and psychedelic electronic pop. Seattle label Sub Pop Records released his first two full-length albums, while this summer he teamed up with revered Los Angeles label Stones Throw Records to release his third studio album, Mister Mellow. Titled the 'Fallin' N Luv' mix, Washed Out's exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a smooth journey through warm lo-fi house grooves that consistently delight, inter-stitched with sweet vocal clips from a couple reminiscing about their romantic relationship. Midnight in a Perfect World, KEXP's weekly hour-long guest DJ show, airs Fridays at midnight.
