Laser domes have a nostalgic tie for many music listeners. For many, it recalls memories of zoning out and listening to classic records as a flurry of dazzling lights create a vivid masterwork right in front of your eyes. It's like going to the movies, only louder and a whole lot more awesome. The Pacific Science Center always has programming in their very own Laser Dome with choreographer laser shows for artists like Daft Punk and Kendrick Lamar, but lately, they've begun booking more and more live talent in their space. So if you liked going to the laser dome with pre-recorded music coming out of speakers, wait till you experience it with the full force of musicians in the room.

Tonight's show at the Laser Dome offers one of the most tantalizing double headers yet, with the psych-art rock for Zen Mother teaming up with super group Sound Cipher (featuring members of Primus, Les Claypool's backing group, and Critters Buggin) for an evening of spaced out, meditative opuses. Snag your tickets now and check out Zen Mother's previous in-studio below. Sound Cipher currently doesn't have recorded music, but with a stacked lineup like that, you're sure to be in for an incredible surprise.
