Angel Olsen is following up 2016's MY WOMAN with a new album of B-sides, rarities, and demos called Phases. Due out November 10 via Jagjaguwar, the album will also include some previously unreleased tracks, including the song "Special," shared with us today. Other unreleased tracks on the album include "How Many Disasters" and "Sans." She's also including "Fly On Your Wall," the song she contributed to the anti-Trump compilation Our First 100 Days. Charlotte Gainsbourg recently announced her first album in seven years, Rest. She previously shared the album's title track and today she shared the second single "Deadly Valentine," along with a video that features Blood Orange's Dev Hynes. The romantic video follows the relationship between two people on their wedding day but at different ages, from childhood to old age and features Gainsbourg and Hynes at the adult stage. Rest follows 2011's double album Stage Whisper and was recorded with French producer SebastiAn and includes features from Paul McCartney, Daft Punk's Gay-Manuel de-Homem-Christo, Owen Pallett, and Connan Mocakasin. Will Wiesenfeld has announced that he's delivering a new Baths album in November called Romaplasm. It's his first since 2014's Ocean Death EP. Wiesenfeld has also shared the first single from the new album, "Yeoman" which takes influence from anime, video games, and comics. “I wanted to be honest with myself that this is where my heart lies and where I get the most motion out of life,” he said. “I wanted a record that mirrors those emotions but in an indirect way.” Romaplasm is out November 17 via Anticon. Kristin Kontrol, the newest pseudonym of Kristin Gundred (who was also formerly known as Dee Dee when she led Dum Dum Girls), has a new song out called "Concrete Love." The warm pop song is a departure from last year's debut Kristin Kontrol album, X-Communicate, which was full of icey cool synthpop. "Concrete Love" was produced by Andrew Miller, who also worked on X-Communicate. Gundred and Miller are also collaborating on a score for the upcoming film Looking Glass. No forthcoming album details have been given yet. [ SPIN ]
