David Bazan has announced on Twitter that his beloved late '90s and early '00s Seattle band Pedro the Lion will be reuniting for four shows, two in Seattle and two in Portland this December. A full US tour will follow. Pedro the Lion broke up in 2006, after releasing four albums, the classic being 2002's Control. Bazan has gone on to release five solo albums and create a new band called Lo Tom that includes Pedro the Lion members TW Walsh and Trey Many. Pedro the Lion will play the Tractor Tavern on December 21 and 22. [ Brooklyn Vegan ]

Seattle's energetic indie pop trio Dude York have announced the release of their forthcoming holiday album, Halftime For The Holidays. Full of "holly jolly pop-punk originals," we've gotten our first taste of it with the song "Break Up Holiday" about getting dumped around Christmas. The song also comes with a video from Sean Downey, of the Fabulous Downey Brothers, which features Clare, Andrew, and Peter in holiday garb while dancing in front of a projection of Christmas-related imagery. Dude York are setting off for tour in mid-November with a Seattle homecoming show on Saturday, December 16 at the Crocodile. [ Stereogum ]

Archy Marshall is delivering the sophomore King Krule album, The Ooz, next week. Today he shared the third single off the album, "Half Man Half Shark," which follows the previously released singles "Czech One" and "Dum Surfer." The song is a bit more experimental than the first two and comes with a video of blurry live VHS footage of a recent London show combined with animation by Theo Chin. The Ooz is out October 13 via True Panther. King Krule will be in Seattle on Friday, November 3 to play The Showbox. [ Under the Radar ]

Spoon released their latest album Hot Thoughts earlier this year and today they shared the video for the moody "I Ain't the One." Directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the video's tone matches the song, with dark, shadowy visuals of the band and clean cuts. Spoon has also announced an extension of their tour, which includes a date in Seattle with White Reaper on Friday, January 12 at The Showbox. [ Rolling Stone ]

Rat Film is an upcoming documentary about Baltimore's rat overpopulation that features an original score from Dan Deacon. Inspired by Philip Glass' scores, Deacon wanted to do something completely different from his previous albums. "Redlining," the first piece from the score that's been shared, proves that. It's a serene track that's built around sparse piano and crystalline synth. The song comes accompanied by visuals inspired by the flyover passages in the film. The Rat Film original soundtrack is out October 13 via Domino Soundtracks. [ SPIN ]
