  • King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are having possibly the most prolific 2017 than anyone else in music. They set a goal at the beginning of the year to release five studio albums just this year and so far they’ve released three albums: Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder Of The Universe, and Sketches Of Brunswick East. It seems their fourth may be on the near horizon with new single “Crumbling Castle,” a 10 minute psychedelic dreamscape that comes along with visuals from frequent collaborator Jason Galea. • Hundred Waters recently released their fantastic new album Communicating via OWSLA and today they shared the official video for standout track “Firelight.” Made by James R. Eads, the animated video was made using Google’s virtual reality painting software, Tilt Brush. Hundred Waters will be in Seattle on Friday, December 8 to play the Crocodile. [ SPIN ]

  • Last night, Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield quietly shared a cover of the Velvet Underground’s “After Hours” she did with Kevin Morby on Tumblr. Crutchfield takes the place of Moe Tucker on lead vocals, with Morby chiming in behind her. The two toured together earlier this year after the release of Waxahatchee’s Out in the Storm and Morby’s City Music. [ Paste ]

  • Now in its 21st season, South Park has had some pretty cool musical guests over the decades (like Radiohead, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Joe Strummer). Last night, the Comedy Central veterans added Killer Mike to the list. Over a montage set in the show’s Shady Acres Retirement Community, Mike raps lines like: “They put me here to die, left me angry and alone / For the crime of being old, they threw me in this nursing home.” Real talk. Watch below. [ Stereogum ]
