Angel Olsen is releasing a collection of outtakes and rarities called Phases this Friday, November 10 via Jagjaguwar. Today she's given us the previously unreleased song "Sans," which was written in between Burn Your Fire For No Witness and My Woman. Olsen called the song, "something short and simple—but about a big thing in my life: travel and what it can do to the psyche. When you’re out there and you’re working and moving so fast it’s difficult to really imagine a time when you were fully realized and known...But then there are those people in your life that know you and don’t need you around all the time to be or feel close—I suppose it’s about that, too." 90's alt-rock band Belly are working on a new album, their first since 1995's sophomore release King. They've now shared their first new song in 22 years to thank all those that contributed to their PledgeMusic campaign, raising money for the forthcoming album. But instead of an original, the song is cover of "Hushabye Mountain" from the 1968 musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. While it may be an odd choice, the cover is enchanting. The new album will be out April 6. An official title has not been announced but Wikipedia cites it as Top Wing. Listen to "Hushabye Mountain" here. [ Brooklyn Vegan ]

St. Vincent stopped by The Graham Norton Show over the weekend to perform MASSEDUCTION single "Los Ageless." After the rocking performance she sat down with Norton as well as the cast of Murder On The Orient Express to talk about the butt on her album cover, as well as the guitar she designed, or "invented," which is made with female and smaller bodies in mind. St. Vincent has also announced her full 2018 tour which includes a stop in Seattle (yay!) on January 19 at the Moore Theatre. MASSEDUCTION is out now. [ SPIN ]

Karien Dreijer of The Knife released her sophomore Fever Ray album Plunge last week. All the visuals she's released for Plunge have been similarly creepy. Today she shared a video for the song "Mustn't Hurry" which features Dreijer dressed as a grotesque ghoul who spends the whole video caressing a metal speculum. She's previously shared the videos for "Wanna Sip" and "To The Moon and Back." [ Under the Radar ]
