  • Wilco are about to release reissues of their first two albums, 1995’s A.M. and 1996’s Being There. On both reissues are unreleased tracks and today we’ve received one from the Being There sessions called “Dynamite My Soul.” The acoustic track features vocals from frontman Jeff Tweedy and his acoustic guitar. The band previously shared “Myrna Lee” from the A.M. era which features bassist John Stirratt on lead vocals. The A.M. and Being There reissues drop December 1 via Rhino Records. [ Pitchfork ]

  • Partly Northwestern band Widowspeak released their gorgeous new album Expect The Best back in August and today they’ve shared a dreamy cover of Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.” Molly Hamilton’s vocals are languorously laid upon listless guitar with some light harmonica coming in here and then. Widowspeak is embarking on a European tour, with no current plans to hit Seattle. [ Stereogum ]

  • Sydney electronic duo Empire of the Sun have announced that they’ll be releasing a new EP called On Our Way Home tomorrow. Along with their announcement, they shared a new video for “Way to Go.” Directed and shot by Nobumichi Asai, the video was made using 3D scanning technology and facial motion capture. Empire of the Sun’s last full-length was 2016’s Two Vines. [ Under the Radar ]

  • Filthy Friends, the supergroup fronted by Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney and Peter Buck of R.E.M., stopped by Last Call With Carson Daly last night. They played “Brother” and “Any Kind Of Crowd” off of their debut album Invitation, released back in August. The group slayed inside the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, proving age is no factor when you’ve got the chops. Watch them slay in the flesh when they stop by Neumos on Saturday, January 27 to play with Acapulco Lips. [ SPIN ]
