  • The endlessly prolific Ty Segall has released a new track today called "The Main Pretender." The song is the latest in a stream of songs including "Alta," "Meaning," "My Lady's on Fire," and a cover of the Squidbillies theme. Mikal Cronin is featured on the song, playing sax. All the new singles seem to be likely leading to a new full-length but no official announcement has been made. Segall released his self-titled full-length in January, followed that up with the Sentimental Goblin 7" and then went on to release the Fried Shallots EP during the summer. [ Pitchfork ]
  • Frank Ocean is getting into the holiday commerce spirit today by offering up a very special deal for Cyber Monday. The reclusive singer is selling physical copies of his 2016 album Endless for the first time. Up until this point the album, which was released one week prior to Blonde, was only available as a visual album on Apple Music but today it can be purchased on his website blonded.co in a variety of formats: vinyl ($35), a CD/DVD combo ($25), and VHS ($17.99). There are also double-sided posters available as well. [ The FADER ]

  • Björk released her highly-anticipated ninth studio album Utopia this past weekend to rave reviews but apparently, the current version is not quite the ideal version for the Icelandic musician. In an interview with Matt Wilkinson of Beats 1, Björk announced that she would return in spring 2018 after some time away from the industry with a live, updated version of Utopia. “There were a lot of flute things I didn’t completely explore, like more soloists and mysterious kind of flute playing, and I’m gonna be rehearsing with the flute players here in Iceland." On Wednesday, December 20, Industrial Revelation will be playing a tribute to Björk at the Neptune by covering her 1997 album Homogenic in full. [ SPIN ]
  • R&B singer Miguel is releasing his fourth full-length War & Leisure this Friday. Today he's shared the fourth single off of it called "Come Through and Chill" which features J. Cole and was produced by Salaam Remi. The song is signature Miguel-style sexy and follows the screw-the-haters-anthem "Sky Walker" and the politically-charged singles "Told You So" and "Pineapple Skies." War & Leisure is out Friday, December 1 on RCA. [ Stereogum ]
