In Stores Now 1-15-18 v2

Northwest supergroup Unlikely Friends (featuring members of BOAT and Math and Physics Club) have returned with their sophomore album, Crooked Numbers. The LP follows up on 2016’s Solid Gold Cowboys and KEXP Music Director Don Yates calls it “another impressive set of buoyant power-pop with jangly guitars, soaring keyboards, bouncy rhythms, alternating lead vocals and sparkling pop hooks.”

Swedish garage punk outfit Spice Boys released their debut album, Glade, last week via PNKSLM.The record features “crunchy guitars, energetic rhythms, alternating lead vocals and anxiety-fueled lyrics.” San Francisco rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club come back with another grimy affair with Wrong Creatures while Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood finds delicateness with his score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film Phantom Thread. Plus, London post-punk outfit Shame make their Dead Oceans debut with their snarky Songs of Praise and Panda Bear shares a vinyl-only EP called A Day With The Homies.
