KEXP Public Call for Old Shows

KEXP is on a mission to preserve its history and we need your help!

We’re participating in Public Broadcasting’s American Archive Project to find and account for the unique programming that KEXP and KCMU produced and broadcast over the last 40 years.

During that time, KEXP has provided listeners with great programs, like Audioasis, Positive Vibrations and other great shows. Now we’re on a mission to preserve KEXP and KCMU’s history and we need your help!

If you’re a former volunteer, producer, DJ, staff, or listener and you have recordings of old KEXP and KCMU shows or in-studio performances, and you are willing to share them with KEXP, please contact Tilly Rodina at Include in your message your contact information, the type of media you are sending, and as much information about your recording as possible – whether it’s KEXP or KCMU, the date, show, DJ host, and/or band performing. We’re specifically looking for past shows and live in-studio performances. If you’re uncertain about whether or not to submit your recording, or have any questions regarding the project, please contact Tilly Rodina.

We’re excited about this project and look forward to the many treasures we’ll find with your help. Thanks for powering, and preserving, the station where the music matters.
