The second week of JellyNYC’s Pool Parties was another success. Former Ronette and vocal icon Ronnie Spector headlined the free show at McCarren Park Pool on Sunday and was joined by The Rabbit Factory Soul Revue, a collection of legendary southern soul performers featuring Herbert Wiley & the Checkmates, Hermon Hitson (Jimi Hendrix/Isley Brothers/Joe Tex), Roscoe Robinson (Blind Boys of Alabama), and Ralph “Soul” Jackson (Spooner Oldham/Muscle Shoals) — who each performed separate sets.
