We heard some great sets last week from the recently reunited Goodness and post-Das Llamas group See Me River. The more die-hard amongst you may have even caught Goodness at Seattle Center’s Mural Stage last week. Check out this review of that Mural show along with some great photos. This year we are excited to be hosting and broadcasting live all 3 days from this years 3rd annual Bumbershoot Music Lounge (Aug 31 - Sep 1). The Music Lounge is a great place to see some outstanding bands up-close in an intimate setting with fellow KEXP listeners. In year’s past we’ve had some memorable performances (does anyone remember Andrew [...]

Last Saturday, KEXP hosted their final concert at the Mural Amphitheatre with performances by the recently (and temporarily?) reunited Goodness along with local pop-punk powerhouse Ms. Led. I’m going to go ahead and pull the typical Seattleite move here and talk about the weather. Yes, I believe last Saturday will [...]
Steve Foley, drummer for the Replacements and Bash & Pop, passed away this weekend in Minneapolis at the age of 49. As reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Foley joined Replacements Tommy Stinson and Paul Westerberg in 1990 when original drummer Chris Mars bowed out. Foley also performed with Minneapolis’ Curtiss A for [...]
