That is awesome to watch! I have no idea how they do that. I can barely walk and chew gum. I am amazed that they don’t get confused with all the buttons on the board and can actually hear what they are doing. Thanks for sharing!
A great choice for ‘Song of the day ‘, makes you want to get up and go.
Well done KEXP
Android App Please
MARAVILLOSO!!!! LOS FELICITAMOS DESDE LA RADIO NACIONAL DE COLOMBIA!
I have never tired of listening to King Crimson
man, wish i were there. can’t wait for 2010 tour schedule
Joanna Newsom’s “Kingfisher” isn’t working, was it pulled?
\m/
Really like this band. Cant wait to hear more! Please come to NYC
Hey thanks for the great review! Come see us play either on March 6th at Grunge Night at the Mine in Ballard or Indie Rockers for Haiti on March 12th at the Eagles Hall in Olympia!! Both shows will be killer! Classic NW acts like the Thrown Ups, featuring Mark and Steve from Mudhoney, Guys from U-Men, Gas Huffer, Some Velvet Sidewalk, Calvin Johnson and the Hive Dwellers, Brazilian Star Lulina, other historic Seattle and Oly bands!!!! I’ve been spooning my broken guitar with the kids all morning in prep for these shows!! Rock on KEXP!!!!!!
Human Skab
I’ve been listening to JA for about 8 or 9 years and he keeps getting crazier. Personally, I think I like the new Joe, but for sure, I really liked the Joe of a few years ago better. It seems to me like something’s really bothering him these days. I have no idea if I am right, but he doesn’t seem as comfortable as he used to appear. Maybe that’s life…just ups and downs, good times and bad. Still, JA’s better than 99% of the artists out there. So, I say, God be with you Joseph Arthur.
Hey, Steve, I enjoy these “Enthusiasms”. The 88 in my email address is for the keys; I needed a way to remember the number. Thanks for your comments and the samples.
yes come to NYC, good stuff
Great! But why not Jogger too?!
Here’s a video for “Lab Test” by Scrappers & Dickbird documenting all the fun you can have in a cemetary if you have a limbo bar:
hhee very comedy :)
Awesome- thanks for doing a spot on the most underrecognized and influencial band on electronic music.
Kraftwerk should be on everyone’s lips.
ADROID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can have in a cemetary if you have a limbo bar:

I watched .. almost all videos..they are nice :)
Saludos!

There is no such thing as New York. I also have a crush on Sarah. Come play in Austin, TX (it does exist)

We won! Thank you so much KEXP!
Man, I luvs the sheng. It looks like a breath-powered chainsaw, no?
This song sounds a lot like a Fleet Foxes tune, at least as far as the singing and the subject matter goes. (It also happens that FF is based in Seattle, also.) It’s an alright song, but the resemblance is too strong for me to really, fully like it. No one’s pointed this out yet either, though I don’t think I’ll be the only one.
waw perfect
So good live! They have put on a great show.
Felt is one of the very best bands of the era. It is a severe discredit to the group to focus on Fraser and the song, Primitive Painters.
Their records are timeless, overlooked masterpieces.
1986 is amazing!
They have a really cool way to download the record for free
http://www.rockandrollponzischeme.com I wish more bands were as creative…both musically and business-wise.
I love Adam Yauch….. It is really unfortunate for a very talented man like him to have this disease. Come back soon, Beastie Boys! And get well soon!
My main gripe about this band is he compares himself to Prince and Freddy Mercury. Those guys are in a league all their own and this guy needs to be slapped upside his head. If he is like an early Prince, I’m hung like Ron Jeremy. Sure, he might mimic some of their presence, but he is not even close to those giants and innovators. I can’t believe you made some similar comparisons in this article. It’s almost like you took it right out of the bands promo material.
That mp3 sounds an awful lot like “Warm Heart of Africa” by The Very Best…
I had previously downloaded A Online Radio in the Android Market for my wife’s G1, but couldn’t find it when I searched for it on my MyTouch. I found a reference to the app being phone specific and it said to search for Droidlive which I found and downloaded. The app works very well so far and even displays the current artist, album and song. I look forward to a dedicated app, but this is great until then.
I found an old box of cassette tapes this week (March 2010). One was a mix that I had made in 1989 from the vinyl records from my campus radio station (WHRW Binghamton, NY). There was no track listing so I had no choice but to listen to what was on it. Among the rarities was “Talk About Love” - I had not heard this tune in nearly 20 years, and went online to learn more and found this review. The descriptions “unobtrusive pop” and “cheese whiz” nail it. But still it’s a decent tune, and a nice bit of nostalgia.
Obviously this app was strategically blessed for the I-phone.
So convienient and so easy to install .
radio stations thAt matter are the ones only like this
thanks Todd n. And KEXP!!!!
