When Jacksonville, FL, dance-pop outfit Black Kids rolled into Caffe Vita in Capitol Hill at full membership sporting only a ukulele, a electric toy piano, and a shaker, we were obviously baffled; but even with the stripped down sound, the group’s fun and loud energy carried through (they even got the crowd singing along a couple times!).
