Fall 2009 Countdown: Best Local Band?

Our online poll is still open for you to VOTE for the most radical music on the planet! Everyday, KEXP will countdown an awesome music theme for the Fall Membership Drive, ranging from the best album ever made to the most killer music scene. One of the questions you’ll be asked is what is the best local band? Is it the industrious Skinny Puppy from Vancouver, British Columbia? The brassified Hey Marseilles from our very own Seattle? The legendary Elliott Smith from Portland (at least where he spent most of his career)? Or how about Issaquah, Washington’s Modest Mouse?
