The Flaming Lips - Embryonic

Fans who were excited to hear the new songs during The Flaming Lips‘ spectacle of a live show this summer can now hear the official versions as their latest, Embryonic, hits stores in a deluxe edition this week, including a fur box set! (Why didn’t Blitzen Trapper think of that?):

Springing forth also this week are new progeny from KEXP favorites like Grant-Lee Phillips, Forro in the Dark, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, We All Have Hooks for Hands, The Heavy, and the long-awaited and excellent sophomore release from Engineers. Interesting debuts arise this week from The Temper Trap and Neon Indian as well as Bad Lieutenant, not the full frontal Harvey Keitel-fronted ultra-violent movie (though it’s the spark of inception for it), but the new project of New Order’s Bernard Sumner.
