Northwest Film Forum is Seattle's premier film arts organization, screening over 200 independently made and classic films annually, offering a year-round schedule of filmmaking classes for all ages, and supporting filmmakers at all stages of their careers.

NWFF supports independent film production and culture by providing a meeting place for the independent film community. As a comprehensive film arts center, they strive to heighten appreciation of and support for independent film by actively developing alternatives to commercial methods of film production, exhibition, and distribution. They enlighten, support, and champion the film artist by presenting education programs by filmmakers and for filmmakers; providing access to filmmaking equipment and resources; showcasing the work of local filmmakers as well as excellent independent cinema from all over the world; and by commissioning new work which explores the intersection of cinema and other art forms.

“KEXP and Northwest Film Forum are kindred spirits, championing independent and local art in the city of Seattle and beyond. We are proud to be a community partner and collaborator with KEXP.” -- -Courtney Sheehan, Artistic Director, NWFF
