Tame Impala will release a live edition EP, aptly titled Live Versions, on Record Store Day (April 19). According to a press release the band’s goal was “to give fans something they won’t already have; something they’ve only previously experienced at a Tame Impala show.” It was recorded last year during a concert in Chicago.Read more...

Khalif Diouf, aka Le1f, has become the first rapper to sign with Terrible Records (co-founded by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor). Le1f will release a new EP called Hey on his new label on March 11. “Boom” is the EP’s first single and there’s no surprise that Le1f slays it effortlessly. [Stereogum]

Texas indie band Shearwater have been dabbling in the world of covers for a while now. They released an all covers collection called Fellow Travelers late last year, and it seems their letting this trend continue.
