Hip Hop pioneer Guru suffered a heart attack yesterday and remains comatose and in critical condition. According to DJ Premier, Guru’s former partner in the legendary Gang Starr, the 43-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Elam, will undergo surgery today. Legendary soul producer Willie Mitchell died Tuesday at 81. The Memphis-based producer, best known for working with Al Green in the 70′s and with Ann Peebles on her hit “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” succumbed to a heart attack. Read more here.
