"So, what did y'all motherfuckers do to get in here? What makes you VIP? Is this like one of those fucked-up... when the celebrities go play the show at the Eastern European child dictator's party?" So asked Travis Morrison, mischievous frontman for the DC post-punk veterans The Dismemberment Plan, before launching into the one of the most energetic afternoon VIP Club sessions in our station's history. His cheeky humor shined through in songs like "Do the Standing Still" (a playful jab at their fans who stand during their shows), and he dedicated their signature single "You are Invited" to Kanye West. The longtime proto-emo quartet blazed through their ten song set, spanning their 20-year career from their early days on DeSoto Records to last year's comeback album, Uncanney Valley. You won't stay standing still watching this rambunctious session below:
