Most years, a select handful of artists whip up enough end of the year motivation to bust out a halfway decent holiday cover that we can all jam out to while making the rest of our end of the year lists. But in 2014, the scene went above and beyond the call of duty to make some fantastic original music for the holiday season. From the wayward goth vibes of Dum Dum Girls and the stoner synth pop of Dent May to the beautiful quiet of the Both (Ted Leo and Alison Mann), this year had it all.
