  • Father John Misty has released a new, polished version of his laid-back love song "Real Love Baby". The track, which first burst onto the scene in May on SoundCloud, was recorded with The Budos Band's electric guitarist Thomas Brenneck. [CoS]

    • On August 5, indie rock veterans Dinosaur Jr will drop their eleventh studio album, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not. Listen to their latest album track, the wonderfully intense "Goin Down", below via Spotify. [Pitchfork]

    • Copenhagen indie rock outfit, Communions have shared their first new single since signing with Fat Possum records. "Don't Hold Anything Back" gives off a fun, punk vibe with a big dose of pop thrown in. The song will be available on a 7" release coming sometime this fall. [Stereogum]
    • A few months ago, Ryan Adams released a deluxe version of his 2000, debut solo album Heartbreaker. Last night he appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform the a stunning rendition of the album's classic "Oh My sweet Carolina."
