  • Beck continues to surprise us as he slowly unveils tracks from his new album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2014's Morning Phase. In addition to the groove of "Wow," today we get the radio-friendly pop song "Up All Night." The track also appears in the new FIFA ’17 video game, hence the YouTube image below. Last we heard, the as-of-yet-untitled new LP was going to be out October 21st; according to the New York Times, it’s been pushed back to November. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Psych-group Temples are also turning to the pop side. Check out the single "Certainty" below; frontman James Bagshaw says he was going for something "with almost an eerie, early Disney vibe, something playful and harmonious, but with a dark twist." No release date yet for their album either, but they're looking at 2017. You'll probably hear some of those new songs live on Tuesday, October 18th at The Crocodile, and you can see them LIVE in KEXP's Gathering Space on Wednesday, October 19th at Noon. [Under the Radar]

  • In an absolutely genius pairing, laid-back rocker Kurt Vile makes a guest appearance on the upcoming album from Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions. It'll be the Mazzy Star frontwoman's first new solo album since 2009, with My Bloody Valentine's Colm O'Coisog joining the Warm Inventions for the LP. Check out the track "Let Me Get There" below, off Until the Hunter out November 4th via Tendril Tales. Vile says, "It was a total honor to sing along to a beautifully hypnotic soul groove with heavyweights like Hope, Colm, and all the other top notch musos. To respond to Hope's call in song of letting her get there felt right and real and gave me chills while singing, even though I knew they already got there years before I walked in the building." [Under the Radar]

  • Don't get too excited. Yes, New Order have shared a video today for the track "People On The High Line," their collaboration with La Roux off last year's comeback album, Music Complete. And, yes, the video features breakdancers. But, sadly, no, it's not the band themselves, 'cause that would've been awesome to see Bernard Sumner doing some backspins. Anyway, watch below.
