We're always excited to feature Oklahoma singer-songwriter, vintage rock and roller JD McPherson any time he comes to town. Not only was he one of the highlights of our SXSW broadcast, but he and his smoking-hot band tore up the KEXP studio this past summer. Right now, JD is celebrating the holidays with a new original tune, "Twinkle (Little Christmas Lights)," which he'll be performing this Thursday on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and undoubtedly you'll be able to hear him play the song, and others from his killer debut, Signs & Signifiers, this weekend when he tours through the Northwest. He'll be at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham, WA, this Friday, December 14, and at Neumos in Seattle on Saturday, December 15. If you want to make a weekend of it, head down to Portland to see them on the 16th. But for now, check out his blazing session from mid-summer below.
