  • Vampire Weekend has just released an amazingly hilarious cover of Robin Thicke’s summer hit “Blurred Lines”, performed live on BBC’s Radio 1. On it, Ezra Koening really nails the falsetto, but it’s his “rapping” that will make you chuckle. When a band has this much fun, it’s contagious. [Pitchfork]

  • Last weekend, at a show in Charlotte, NC, Girl Talk (a.k.a. Gregg Gillis) debuted a couple brilliant, new remixes. He masterfully mashed-up Daft Punk‘s recent hit “Get Lucky” with Michael Jackson‘s “Remember the Time” and Kanye West‘s “Black Skinhead” with Marilyn Manson‘s “The Beautiful People”. They may seem like odd combinations, but somehow this guy always makes them work. Check out both mixes below. [CoS]

  • Friends are currently working on their follow up album to last year’s Manifest!, but they aren’t making us wait too long for some new material. Today, they’ve shared a soulful, slow burning new track called “The Way.” Take a listen to the song, below. [Pitchfork]

  • Swedish “disco princess” Sally Shapiro has remixed Young Galaxy‘s track “In Fire,” which was featured on their widely successful album Ultramarine. Shapiro’s version adds powerful synths and bold beats that really intensifies the track. The track is able to stand on it’s own and pay homage to it’s mellow original. [Stereogum]
