  • Longtime KEXP-friend Bob Mould has announced his next album, Beauty & Ruin, is slated for a June 3rd release on Merge Records. He'll continue to be backed by bassist Jason Narducy (Split Single, Verbow) and drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats), who pretty much killed it on Mould's 2012 release, Silver Age, and in KEXP's Bumbershoot Lounge last year, too. Tune in tonight to catch Bob & the boys on the Late Show with David Letterman. [Pitchfork]

  • Sub Pop's Dum Dum Girls have also shared a new video today, written by author Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Less Than Zero). Watch the 11-minute psychological thriller below, featuring the track "Are You Okay" from their latest Too True. Dum Dum Girls will be LIVE on KEXP on Saturday, April 5th at 3:00 PM PT. [The Stranger's Line Out]

  • Canadian slack-rocker Mac DeMarco has shared the new track "Brother" today from his upcoming release Salad Days, out April 1st on Captured Tracks. Stream the single below. [Pitchfork]

  • Mark your calendar and set sail for Portland where The Decemberists will perform their 2002 debut, Castaways and Cutouts, in its entirety on May 30th at the Crystal Ballroom. The concert is a benefit for Victory Academy, a school that serves the needs of students impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Proceeds will go to construct a new building that will enable the school to go from being K-8 to K-12. Tickets go on sale this Friday. [Pitchfork]
