Music That Matters, Vol. 406 - Runner Powered Podcast, Volume 2
KEXP’s Resident Runner and host of the Morning Show, John Richards, presents Volume 2 of our new Runner Powered Podcast series. Hit your second wind with two hours (31 tracks!) of high energy KEXP favorites.

The feedback for the first running podcast has been over-the-top great. The stories of people running around the city and the country while listening to the music and mix of quotes has inspired a second podcast, this one double the length...and possibly a third in the near future? This podcast doesn’t mean you HAVE to run two hours, but that’s my goal for my half-marathon, and long enough that you can break it up over multiple runs. With two hours, I was also able to break up the vibe of the run. I don’t know about you, but I can’t just have pounding music in my head while I run a longer distance. I want changes of tone and energy as I go, without it dropping down too much. I also included more words of wisdom (a few my own, but mostly much smarter people) and was able to thank ALL of the Morning Show Runner’s Club members. — John Richards
