September slays us – the kids are back in school, the visitors have gone, and the weather is glorious. For now.

Celebrate September in the Northwest at Rifflandia, the four-day multi-venue music festival in the picturesque town of Victoria, BC, this weekend, September 11-14.

It should come as no surprise that Rifflandia 2014 features a stellar line-up of Canadian bands, including Born Ruffians, Dragonette, Serena Ryder, Half Moon Run, Head of the Herd and, of course, media darlings The New Pornographers, whose new record, Brill Bruisers, is garnering widespread critical acclaim.

The New Pornographers aren't the only ones featuring new music – a ton of bands at Rifflandia sport recent or upcoming releases, including Death Cab for Cutie, who will play new material from the band's eighth studio album, scheduled for release in early 2015. Not to mention, the show on Saturday, September 13, is Chris Walla's last performance with the band. Could there be a more perfect way to rejoice in both the beauty and bittersweet sides of September?

Single day park passes are $40 for Thursday, and $60 each for Friday through Sunday. Single night passes are $40. Or get a super deal with the $165 Super Pass, which covers four days, park and night, 19+; limited quantities. Buy tickets here .
