  • Daevid Allen pioneer of psychedelic rock and founding member of Soft Machine and Gong lost his battle with cancer today, he was 77. His son, Orlando Monday, broke the news on Facebook, saying "You have left such a beautiful legacy and we will make sure it forever shines in our children and their children. Now is the happiest time of yr life. Blessed be.” [Pitchfork]
