  • Synthpop pioneers New Order return this fall with their first new album in a decade, appropriately titled Music Complete. Founding member Peter Hook does not appear on the release, but Gillian Gilbert, another original member, returns to the fold for the first time since 2001’s Get Ready. The band mostly produced the album themselves, with a little help from Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and UK producer Stuart Price. Check out a trailer below. Music Complete hits stores on September 25th via Mute. [Stereogum]

  • Speaking of the Chemical Brothers, the UK group also have a new album on the way: Born in the Echoes, their first studio album in five years, out July 17th via Astralwerks. The release features guest vocals from Q-Tip (on KEXP's Song of the Summer "Go"), Beck, Cate Le Bon, and, as you can hear below, St. Vincent. Stream the track "Under Neon Lights" below: [Under the Radar]

  • Under his Atlas Sound alias, Bradford Cox played an all-electronic set over the weekend at NXNE, and afterwards told a fan that the new Deerhunter album is coming “really soon” and “sounds like INXS.” (!!! This is especially exciting to us as we have a KEXP New Home fundraiser next Tuesday, June 30th with local bands playing INXS classics... Bradford, wanna join us?) Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt confirmed the news with a Tweet (see below). [Spin]

  • UK group Boxed In released their self-titled debut earlier this year, and today they share the video for the track "False Alarm." Watch below. Boxed In play Monday, July 20th at Barboza, and will be LIVE on KEXP earlier that day at 1:00 PM PT. [Stereogum]
