East meets West with the Modern Sky Music Festival, a jam-packed one-day show happening this Sunday, October 11th at the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheater.

The series, which has held previous shows in New York City and Beijing, combines a fantastic line-up of bands from both America and China. So, in one afternoon, you'll get the acoustic delicacy of Mirel Wagner, the psych-pop of Ariel Pink, garage-rockers The Black Lips, and legendary post-punk pioneers Gang of Four. And from China, you'll be introduced to twee-punk trio Hedgehog, hardcore band Miserable Faith, "campus folk" singer-songwriter Song Dongye, and new-wave influenced New Pants.Tickets are $48, which breaks down to a lousy $6 a band, or you could get the $150 VIP package. Tickets available online here.
