  • For Christmas, PDX-via-NZ group Unknown Mortal Orchestra gave us the gift of song: stream the track "SB-03" below, written by frontman Ruban Nielson and his brother, Kody Nielson (aka Silicon). The twelve-minute-long track was released on December 25th, following the singles "SB-01" and "SB-02," released at the end of 2013 and 2014, natch. Unknown Mortal Orchestra headline our next Little Big Show on Friday, January 29th at The Neptune. [Pitchfork]

  • We've got more new music to share from the upcoming Ra Ra Riot release Need Your Light. Stream the single "Absolutely" below. The forthcoming full-length was produced by Ryan Hadlock (Vance Joy, Lumineers, Blonde Redhead) right here in Seattle at Bear Creek Studios. Need Your Light turns on February 19th on Barsuk, with the band playing Wednesday, March 30th at Neumos. [Stereogum]

  • It's an unconfirmed report, but it's sounding like LCD Soundsystem might really be reuniting for this year's Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. (A reunited Guns n' Roses are the other band rumored to be headlining the event.) It's only been five years since their "funeral" shows at Madison Square Garden, but even back in 2010, frontman James Murphy wasn't opposed to reuniting. "It’s not like some big, dramatic ending — we’ve talked about if in five years we’d want to play again, we’d do it," he said. Looks like someone was counting down the years. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Earlier today, KEXP launched our in-studio videos of Madrid garage rock Hinds (watch here). If you can't get enough, you can stream their upcoming album, Leave Me Alone, below, via NPR.
