  • Mavis Staples releases another teaser off of her February 19th album, Livin' on a High Note, the Nick Cave written "Jesus Lay Down Beside Me" which is available below. The album, produced by M. Ward, features songs written by a variety of artists specifically for the 76-year-old R&B titan-esse, featuring credits as varied as Aloe Blacc, Justin Vernon, and tUnE-yArDs. The album will be released by Anti- records and will be available this Friday.

  • Rhymesayers Entertainment artist Aesop Rock released the video for his track "Rings" which will be on his upcoming LP, which will be out on April 29th. The Impossible Kid will be Aesop's first release since 2012's Skelethon, and the accompanying video for the Rock produced "Rings" features the Portland rapper sporting a very gnarly head wound that gets cracked open, revealing the literal inner workings of the artist's brain - spoiler: there is a little stick man in there working on calligraphy.

  • Weezer has released a fourth track from their upcoming White Album, slated to hit the world on April 1st. The track, "L.A. Girlz" was released exclusively on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, and so the only version available has a big ol' "Exclusive" sonic watermark, but other than that, it's a return to classic Weezer form, with Cuomo still wonderfully struggling to keep those high notes in tune. Even more delightful, he told Lowe that even as White nears release, they've already begun working on the both chromatically and sonically darker Black Album, proving that the band isn't afraid to step on the toes of some classic albums in order to keep their color schema going.

  • Los Angeles trio Bleached have just unveiled the video for their new single, “Wednesday Night Melody,” from their forthcoming album, Welcome The Worms, due April 1st on Dead Oceans.
